Nothing compares to a brand-new baby! There is just something about those tiny feet with the hospital band, the pink and blue hats and those clear bassinets. Fresh 48s are 60 minute sessions that take place at the hospital with in the first 24-48 hours after delivery. Sit back and soak up your new love and let me capture those first unforgettable details in your little one’s life.
How Do I get my images?
About 2 weeks after your session, you will receive a message from me with a link to your online gallery. From there, you can view, print and share your images. I will include detailed instructions with your gallery link.
Do you offer prints?
Yes! I print through a premier professional photography and press printing lab serving photographers all over the world. The best part – they are a MN based, family operated company!
Can I print my photos anywhere?
Yes! It is important to note that SMP cannot, however, guarantee print quality or consistence through other labs.
How far in advance should we book our session?
Once you know that you want to book a session, it’s best to get it on the calendar right away! While pictures can be taken year-round, events like wedding and senior sessions are more seasonal, and months like June and September can book up months in in advance.
What if it rains?
Mother Nature has a mind of her own and she cannot be bribed! I keep open days on my calendar for this reason. Based on weather radar, sessions will be canceled around noon on the day of the session and rescheduled.
What should we wear?
Keep it casual and simple! Choose a color palate that compliments the season (I.E. mustard and burgundy look great during fall) Pinterest is a great resource for this. Add texture and pattern by wearing a chunky necklace that complements your daughter's skirt pattern. Layering solids is a great way to add interest to an outfit without adding pattern. Avoid lots of black (or just leave all the black at home) and steer clear of the matchy-matchy.
Can we just take a few pictures with my husband and me or siblings with the Milestone Mini?
This session has been created and priced to focus the attention on just one child to really capture that special moment in their life. I always love photographing families, these involve more time, planning, and preparation, so I highly recommend purchasing a family session to achieve the best images with the least amount of stress.
